June Tzedakah Supports Project Leket

Deuteronomy 24:19 reminds us to leave the corners of our fields for the hungry and the stranger.

Please join Beth Am in the mitzvah of tzedakah by supporting Project Leket this month. Leket, Israel’s National Food Bank, gathers excess fresh fruits and vegetables in farmers’ fields — more than 110 tons per week — to be donated to more than 180 charities to feed the hungry.

Leket Israel volunteers also prepare and deliver more than 4,500 mid-morning meals each week to students at 70 schools around Israel. Your donation will help this effort to prevent food waste and reduce hunger in Israel.

Please give generously.

The Tzedakah box collection for April was $487.40 in support of the Israel Center for the Treatment of Psychotrauma.
