Yom HaShoah V'HaGevurah --  Remembering the Holocaust and Acts of Courage

Elie Wiesel’s Legacy: A Beacon of Humanity and Hope

“For the Dead and for the Living, We Must Bear Witness." These are the words of Elie Wiesel, who passed away on January 2, 2016. This year's South Peninsula Yom HaShoah v’HaGevurah Service of Remembrance focuses on this great humanitarian, Nobel prize winner, author and survivor of Auschwitz-Birkenau and the Death March to Buchenwald. The ceremony will feature Wiesel's writings, as well as songs, music, prayer and artwork as we honor those who perished and those who survived.
