BATY Board

Erin, Youth Advisor

Hi! I’m Erin and I feel honored to be the BATY Advisor.  Before BATY, I grew up in the Central Valley in a not so small town called Visalia, and attended UC Santa Cruz where I studied languages and Jewish studies. I love dancing, climbing, cooking, eating, traveling, and enjoying life! Over the past two years I have had a blast getting to know so many amazing teens through all of our awesome programs. This year, I look forward to meeting more of you and hanging out at some amazing events, new and old.  If you don’t already know me, I want to meet you: let me know when lunch time is at your school and I can either take you out or bring food to campus.  We can also set up some quality hang out time at Beth Am or Miyo!

Dani Beiser, President

Hi BATY! My name is Dani Beiser and I am the BATY President for the year 5772. I am a current senior at Monta Vista High School in Cupertino and I am the captain of my school’s Varsity Field Hockey Team. Other than BATY and sports, I love to cook and dance around my room. I am so excited for the amazing events we have planned for this year and can’t wait to see all of you there and get to meet tons of new people. Feel free to get in contact with me at any time if you have any questions! Go BATY Athletes!

Thomas Kenny, Programming Vice President

HEY! I'm Thomas Kenney, a senior at Homestead High School, and this year’s BATY Programming Vice President.  I'll summarize myself in two words, Mr. Outdoors. I love to be outside, whether it’s backpacking somewhere majestic, taking hikes, marching in the Homestead Marching Band or just tossing a Frisbee around with my friends. Other interests of mine include: Watching movies, playing music, singing, doing community service, and making movies. Can’t wait to see everyone this year and delve into some awesome programs!

Samantha Pann, Membership Vice President

Hello, I am Samantha Pann. I am a senior at Mountain View high school. I currently am BATY Membership Vice President (MVP). I keep myself busy with many activities. I play soccer as well as dance inside and outside of school. I also have been a madricha at Beth Am for the past three years. At school I am very active in numerous clubs, as well as being part of student government as Senior Vice President. I love Beth Am with all my heart. I have been attending programs since I was in Kindergarten and love it dearly. I loved becoming a Bat Mitzvah and being confirmed as well as participating in BATY and NFTY. I can’t wait for the fabulous upcoming year.

Jon, Communications Vice President

Hey Baty! My name is Jon and I'm your new CVP or communications vice president. I am currently a sophomore at Paly High and am so excited for another year on the board! Feel free to message me on facebook or send me a text, I would love to talk! When I'm not sending out emails or making phone trees you can find me over at the Stanford Aquatics center doing flips for the club diving team. I also love fro-yo and hanging out with friends! I'm so pumped for another year with BATY! Go athletes!

Mark Kellman, Treasurer

Hey BATY! My name is Mark Kellman and this is my second year on BATY Board as treasurer, or TVP. You can call me Mark, but some people have called me Marky Mark or Markypoo in the past. I am a junior at Kehillah Jewish High School in Palo Alto, and for those of you wondering, there are 30 people in my class. My job is to make sure that our budget stays balanced so we have enough money for the awesome events planned this year!  In my free time you will probably find me reading the latest Apple blog (yes I am obsessed,) playing with my dog, or hitting a tennis ball around.  I am so excited for all of the amazing events planned this year!

Emily, Historian

Hey BATY! I’m Emily and I’m your 5772 BATY Historian! I am a sophomore at Los Altos High School and know that this is gonna be the best year BATY has ever had! This year I am looking forward to meeting all of you and seeing all of your beautiful smiles as I take your pictures! When I’m not busy making scrapbooks or flyers for BATY, you can find me baking something scrumptious, playing field hockey, cuddling with my dog or reading celebrity gossip magazines. I cannot wait for all the fabulous events this year and can’t wait to see all of you at the events!

Emily Rubin, BAJY Liaison

Hi! My name is Emily Rubin and I am thrilled to be serving as your BAJY Liaison on the BATY board for the 2011-2012 year!! What is the BAJY Liaison you might ask?  As the BAJY Liaison, it is my job to plan and help run all BATY and BAJY events for the year and to bridge BATY and BAJY in unification at Beth Am.  I am currently a junior at Los Altos High School, and this is my third year on the BATY board.  I am Captain of the JV tennis team and I am a Diller Teen Fellow this year.  I am also a professional fashion designer and design for runways (usually charity shows) in the Bay Area.  I cannot wait to get to know everyone in BAJY and have more amazing times with my BATY-ites!!  My goal for the year is to have maximum participation at BAJY events, because they will be so much fun, and to help with another fabulous year of BATY!  Hope to see you all at events!
