February Tzedakah Box Supports the Association for the Habilitation of the Developmentally Disabled (AKIM)

Our tzedakah donations for February will go to AKIM (Association for the Habilitation of the Developmentally Disabled). AKIM, founded in 1951, is the largest organization in Israel caring for developmentally disabled children and adults. Over 30,000 developmentally disabled people and 120,000 family members benefit from these services.

Our donations will focus on AKIM's special dental clinics for the disabled, which provide care to over 10,000 people. This program is one of the strongest and largest public dental care systems in Israel.

Regional dental clinics across the country employ professional staff capable of treating people with special needs. Preventative therapy as well as early intervention enables patients to chew, speak and better function. As a result, they enjoy a better quality of life, better health and more acceptance in the community.

Your donations are much appreciated, and may be placed in any of the tzedakah boxes on the Beth Am campus (in the Sanctuary foyer, Beit Kehillah or Administrative Office). If you prefer to make your donation by check, please make it payable to Congregation Beth Am and mail to:

Congregation Beth Am, Attn: Tzedakah Box - AKIM, 26790 Arastradero Road, Los Altos Hills, CA 94022
