At Beth Am we cherish children and teens and want them to find joy in Jewish living. Our education programs focus on creating a vibrant learning community that supports our student's intellectual, spiritual and emotional growth, and inspires them to be committed, knowledgeable, participating Reform Jews.

Judaica programs explore the basics of Jewish religious practice - values, holidays, symbols, and history. For ages pre-K through 5th grade, there are four program choices: Sunday Program (Sunday morning drop-off program where children learn in aged-based classes), Shabbaton (Saturday afternoon family learning), Hagigah (Wednesday afternoon children's learning through theater arts, 2nd - 5th graders), and Israel Together (featuring a family trip to Israel in December).
Tuesday Night Program is for the early middle school years, 6th - 7th grades, and combines formal and informal learning experiences with community building. Avodah! is the 8th - 9th grade program where students experience the Jewish value of tzedek through participation in service projects. Israel Together is another program option for 6th - 9th grade students.
Tenth (10th) graders participate in an intimate year of learning and exploration with the Beth Am clergy and educators, culminating in a Confirmation Program and Celebration tailored to interests of class members. Confirmands participate in the L'Taken Social Justice Seminar in Washington, D.C.
In Hebrew Program, 3rd - 7th graders learn to read Hebrew print and study basic modern and prayerbook Hebrew.
In the Madrichim Program, 9th - 12th graders serve as teaching assistants in the youth education programs.
For students in 11th - 12th grade various small group or independent study options are available.

The Experience of a Lifetime — Jewish summer camp is an important part of our Jewish lives. Research indicates that attending a Jewish summer camp is a key factor in the creation of a Jewish identity.
