Confirmation
Confirmation
Rabbis Jonathan Prosnit and Adam Rosenwasser, DirectorsConfirmation meets weekly, during the regular school year, Sundays, 11:30 a.m. - 1:30 p.m. Confirmation is a unique opportunity for 10th grade students to study in depth with Beth Am clergy and educators. The class focuses on modern ethical issues and our responsibility to become rodei tzedek, or pursuers of justice. A portion of the sessions focus on organizing and advocating for what we believe in as Reform Jews, culminating in a required L'Taken Social Justice Seminar in Washington, D.C.
Toward the end of the year members of the the class look inward to reflect on what Judaism means to them, as they create a meaningful and engaging confirmation program. All confirmands are highly encouraged to participate in the Beth Am NFTY in Israel trip the summer following Confirmation.
