Sunday Program

Sunday Program

Michael Mason, Director

Sunday program meets weekly during the school year, on Sunday mornings, 9 - 11:30 a.m.

Students gain basic Jewish literacy in a fun environment, studying topics such as: Jewish values, life cycle events, Jewish holidays, Jewish symbols, Bible stories and Israel. The student community gathers together for T’filah (worship) and singing each week. Specialists enrich classroom learning with music, dance, library visits, garden projects and art. Throughout the year there are grade-level family participation days.

For students with special needs, one class is taught by a teacher who gears the subject matter directly to student needs. The class material features Torah, Israel and holidays. Learning occurs through music, hands-on activities, cooking, stories, and other modalities.

All students collect Tzedakah in their classes. At the end of each semester each class votes to allocate their Tzedakah to the organization of their choice.
