“My Hero Brother” Film Screening | Congregation Beth Am

My Hero Brother Film Screening

This Israeli film is about a group of remarkable young people with Down syndrome who embark on a demanding trek through the Indian Himalayas, accompanied by their brothers and sisters. Unresolved conflicts and the complexities of growing up with a child with Down syndrome in the family come to surface, while a heart-warming and special closeness develops among the siblings as they deal with formidable physical and emotional challenges.

From award-winning filmmaker Yonatan Nir (Dolphin Boy), My Hero Brother is set against the richly colorful backdrop of India. It opens new horizons and deepens our understanding of people with special needs and their families.

This film is sponsored by INCLUDE Beth Am and the Aptekar Family Endowment Fund for Film. Check out other Inclusion Month events with Beth Am.
