March Fund in Focus: Anida Hamburg Fund
Congregation Beth Am has long been a community that recognizes the profound value in educating our children and providing them with positive Jewish experiences that will foster strong Jewish identity and activity. There is no greater impact that a community can have on its future than the education of its youth.
The Anida Hamburg Fund is one of the vehicles through which Beth Am is able to sustain its outstanding formal and informal youth education programs such as BAJY, BATY, and classes aimed at inspiring and teaching kids to be better people and to be better Jews.
The Anida Hamburg Fund was created in 1989 by Barbara and Ken (z”l) Oshman, in loving memory of Barbara’s sister Anida. When Anida died in 1988, Barbara and Ken wanted to honor her memory by providing for the children of Beth Am. The fund supports a host of educational programs that benefit the children of our community.
We welcome your donation to this and other important funds that provide resources for our congregation. If you’d like to consider creating a new fund in honor or memory of a loved one, please visit betham.org/GIVE or contact Mandy Eisner in the Beth Am office.
