During Chanukah we rededicate ourselves to stand against forces that would destroy Judaism and to keep alive the flame of Jewish religion, culture and peoplehood so that it may be passed on to the next generation. On the Shabbat of Chanukah, we kindle the Chanukah lights first and then the Shabbat candles.

The Beth Am community gathers each Friday night at 6:15 PM to welcome Shabbat. Our worship services are musical, participatory and informal in spirit; they focus on helping us experience the spiritual renewal, peace, joy and sense of celebration that Shabbat can bring.

If you miss the 6:15 PM livestream (or a later time works better for you), a simulated broadcast of the service will repeat at 8:00 PM on betham.org/streaming.
