Gary Frohlich, a genetic counselor, will speak about why Ashkenazi Jews have an increased risk of some diseases. Mr. Frohlich is a Senior Patient Education Liaison for Sanofi Genzyme and presents fascinating historical research on Ashkenazi Jews, including their migration, causes of genetic inheritance patterns, the prevalent diseases and how to potentially identify some diseases. Dinner will be served.
