Erev Shabbat Chanukah Service (Zimriyah Jr. Choir Sings)
Friday, December 23, 2022 • 29 Kislev 5783
6:15 PM - 7:30 PMSanctuary*; betham.org/streamingDuring the Erev Shabbat service, our Zimriyah Jr. Choir will be singing.
During Chanukah we rededicate ourselves to stand against forces that would destroy Judaism and to keep alive the flame of Jewish religion, culture and peoplehood so that it may be passed on to the next generation. On the Shabbat of Chanukah, we kindle the Chanukah lights first and then the Shabbat candles. Have your own chanukiyah ready to light during the service!

The Beth Am community gathers each Friday night at 6:15 PM to welcome Shabbat. Our worship services are musical, participatory and informal in spirit; they focus on helping us experience the spiritual renewal, peace, joy and sense of celebration that Shabbat can bring.
If you attend virtually, please join at betham.org/streaming or on our YouTube channel or on the Beth Am Facebook page, starting at 6:15 PM. If you miss the 6:15 PM livestream (or a later time works better for you), a simulated broadcast of the service will repeat at 8:00 PM on betham.org/streaming. You may follow along in our texts for the Erev (evening) Shabbat service using the online version of the Mishkan T'filah: A Reform Siddur.
To enhance your enjoyment of Shabbat, please visit betham.org/shabbatcorner (including "Social Stories" in the Resource Box to prepare children ahead of time for what to expect during the Shabbat service).
