On Shemini Atzeret, the concluding day of the festival of Sukkot, it is customary to recite yizkor (memorial prayers) in remembrance of our loved ones. The service includes Hallel (chanted psalms of praise) as well as Yizkor prayers of remembrance, and our clergy will read aloud the names of all those lost to our Beth Am family in the last year. We will also, on request, read the names of any others who are remembered by people present at the service. I
