Please Support Beth Am’s Annual Hunger and Homelessness Campaign
As our calendar turns to winter months and the temperatures on the thermometer drop, at Beth Am we take the time to recognize that there are many in our local community who are struggling to find adequate housing and food. The book of Leviticus instructs, "If your neighbor becomes poor… then you shall strengthen him, be he a stranger or a settler, he shall live with you.”(Leviticus 25:35) Each year, Beth Am collects money through our Hunger and Homelessness campaign, to be distributed to local organizations that serve the most vulnerable members of our community. Last year we raised nearly $30,000 and we hope to match or beat that number this year.
Groups we have supported in the past include:
- Community Services Agency - www.csacares.org
- Ecumenical Hunger Program - www.ehpcares.org
- Home & Hope - www.homeandhope.net
- Jewish Family and Children’s Services - www.jfcs.org
- LifeMoves - www.lifemoves.org
- Second Harvest Food Bank - www.shfb.org
We ask you to be as generous as possible with your end of the year giving. Please stay tuned to receive an envelope in the mail from Beth Am. Alternatively, you can make your donation online. Gifts of any size are welcome and appreciated.
