Are You a Teacher at Heart?

Beth Am Teacher Institute

Beth Am is offering those interested in teaching at Beth Am an opportunity to develop their teaching skills! The Beth Am Teacher Institute will support prospective teachers with several sessions aimed at teaching methodology, classroom management skills, creating inclusive learning and what we as Reform Jews believe and want to teach our children.

The Beth Am Teacher Institute will be held on four Wednesday evening sessions from 7:00 – 9:00 PM on:

  • March 6
  • April 3
  • May 8
  • June 5

No formal teaching experience is required, just a passion for teaching children to live meaningful Jewish lives. Our programs encourage children and their families to experience what it means to be part of a kehillah kedoshah -- a sacred community -- by learning about Judaism, developing meaningful and lasting Jewish friendships, and finding personal connections to Judaism.

Follow-up support will be offered to participants who become teachers in our Youth Education Programs.

To apply for the Teacher Institute, please download and complete the editable pdf Beth Am Teacher Institute Application and email it to Alex Lyon in the Youth Ed. Office no later than Tuesday, February 12. Please contact youthed@betham.org for more information.
