Class of the Month: Contemporary American Jewish Women

A Sequoia Hadassah Event with Rabbi Melanie Aron

In this session, Rabbi Melanie Aron will lead a discussion about the differences in the authors’ approaches to Judaism and Jewish traditions, as well as their reflections on mother-daughter relationships and aging. We will be reading short stories from Scribblers on the Roof by Myra Goldberg, Dara Horn, Lynne Sharon Schwartz, Mary Morris and Sonia Pilcer.

Rabbi Aron has served as Rabbi at Congregation Shir Hadash in Los Gatos since 1990 and is on the Board of the SVJFF. She is also involved with the Los Gatos Clergy Group and the People Acting in Community Together (PACT), a multi-ethnic, interfaith grassroots organization.

RSVP to Leah and to receive PDF copies of the stories.

$15 Donation to Hadassah.
