Hadassah Local Authors Series: A Conversation with Evelyn Preston
Evie Preston, a co-chair of the Local Authors Group, will close the Hadassah Local Authors series with a lively presentation of her personal tales of the “writing life” — some of the fun and folly encountered along the way to publication. “After 25 years in the financial field,” Evie says, “I just had to capture my steep climb up the learning curve which gave birth to my book, Memoirs of the Money Lady. However, the teacher in me surfaced,” she admits; “I couldn’t resist handing on the hard-won investment advice it took me so long to learn.” In addition to her financial, real estate and insurance work, Evie gave “Money Smarts for Women” workshops and even helped start a fresh soup business. In her “previous life”, she taught secondary education, published widely, wrote a series of humor articles in the Palo Alto Weekly, and was a Redbook “Young Mother.” She now writes the “Money Lady” column for Active Over 50 magazine.
Evie will share the magic of memoirs, to motivate attendees with easy ways to explore their own unique legacies. Each registered attendee will receive a free book.
