Netivot -- Pathways: Three Sessions

A Beth Am Group Supporting Those Facing Addiction

Addiction is a medically diagnosed disease and those impacted will be embraced by our community.  Our goal is to educate our community on the tools and resources to overcome all aspects of this disease. Our seminars:

  • Tuesday, April 30, 7:00 PM, Beit Kehillah: The Disease of Addiction & Paths to Recovery. Join Dr. Daniel Becker, who specializes in adolescent and addiction psychiatry and is the Chief Medical Director for Behavioral Health Services at El Camino Hospital as he teaches us about the disease aspects of drug and alcohol addiction and introduces paths to recovery.
  • Tuesday, May 14, 7:00 PM, Room Bet: Rehabilitation. Join an addiction specialist from the Wise Mind Institute and person in recovery as they share their journeys with rehabilitation and lead discussion. Netivot will share personal experiences with rehabilitation resources available locally and beyond.

  • Tuesday, June 4, 7:00 PM, Beit Kehillah: Emotional Health. Join Rabbi Marder, as we focus on emotional issues surrounding addiction and how to begin healing; introduce AA and Alanon; share relapse experiences; introduce dual diagnosis and highlight the new Addiction section of the Beth Am Library.

If you are interested in joining our Netivot planning and leadership group, please contact Deborah.
