Shabbat Outdoors: Erev Shabbat Service
The Beth Am community gathers each Friday night at 6:15 PM to welcome Shabbat (come at 6:00 PM to enjoy snacks and hors d’oeuvres). Our worship services are musical, participatory and informal in spirit; they focus on helping us experience the spiritual renewal, peace, joy and sense of celebration that Shabbat can bring. Services usually include a teaching or sermon by our clergy, congregants or a guest scholar.
Debbie LaFetra will speak. (Service followed by community potluck dinner on the patio; sign up by July 10.)
For more information, check out Our Services. To enhance your enjoyment of Shabbat, please visit betham.org/shabbatcorner (including "Social Stories" in the Resource Box to prepare children ahead of time for what to expect during the Shabbat service). Beth Am also offers kid-friendly dinner and supervised play during every Friday night service. Learn more.
*This service will be live video streamed. By entering the Outdoor Chapel, you give Beth Am permission to record you.
