Shabbat Connections: Build Friendships Around Shabbat Hospitality
Want to experience more of the joy of Shabbat while developing warmer friendships at Beth Am? Join Shabbat Connections! Everyone is welcome. The only requirements are that you extend Shabbat hospitality to fellow Beth Am members at least three times in the year ahead. Invite one person, one couple or a whole group. Choose people you know well, folks you’d like to know better, or invite newcomers to our congregation -- the choice is yours!
There are many options for hospitality: welcome guests to your home for a potluck Friday night dinner, invite them over for a casual Shabbat lunch, for Saturday afternoon coffee and cake, or an early pizza dinner on Saturday evening. Meet at a local park and have a picnic! No pressure to prepare a fancy meal -- the focus should be on relaxing, enjoying one another and deepening your friendship.
All members of Shabbat Connections will be invited to a welcome dinner with Rabbi Marder at Beth Am on Friday night, November 22. Don’t miss this opportunity to help build a vibrant culture of Shabbat hospitality within our congregation.
