Shabbat Unplugged: Service and Community Potluck Dinner

Beth Am will once again participate in the National Day of Unplugging, an invitation to Jews across the country and across the denominational spectrum to discover the rest and peace of Shabbat without electronic devices. Join the Beth Am community for a joyful Shabbat service – then stay for a wonderful community potluck dinner in the Social Hall. Learn more about Shabbat Unplugged. If you want to Take the Pledge to unplug from technology, visit

At this service, we will honor our milestone members — those who are celebrating 18, 36 or 54 years of Beth Am membership. These long-time members are an important part of Beth Am and we’ll recognize their commitment to our community with a special blessing on the bimah.

Please sign up below to bring a dish to share (enough for 10 people) according to your last name:

  • A-M main dish
  • N-Z salad or side dish

(Kashrut information: please note that Beth Am serves food "kosher style," which means no pork or shellfish and we do not serve milk and meat in the same dish, such as meat lasagna. Thank you for observing in this way.)

*This service will be live video streamed. By entering the Sanctuary, you give Beth Am permission to record you.
