Tisha B'Av: Living Through Loss
Tisha B'Av (the Ninth of the month of Av) is a day of mourning for the Jewish people as we remember the destruction of both Temples in Jerusalem, as well as other tragedies that have affected Jewish communities through history. This year, we will observe the day with study and small-group discussion on the theme of "living through loss." How did our ancestors cope with loss in their lives, and how can we? Following the discussion, we will join together for a short service, which will include the chanting of Eichah, the Book of Lamentations.
