April 2021 Fund in Focus: The Aptekar Family Endowment Fund for Film

Thanks to the Aptekar Fund, even a global pandemic cannot stop our community from enjoying films together! This fund has supported streamed films viewed from home this year, and will support in-person film experiences again when we return to our campus later this year.
Judy and Bob Aptekar, the founders of the Fund, were inspired by their participation in the Shabbat afternoon film series. “Movies have a way of bringing people together for a shared interest and entertainment, but can also generate meaningful conversations. And whether it’s Jewish films or just films that bring Jews together, it’s good for our community!”
