Oy, Climate Change! What Can WE at Beth Am Do Now to Make a Difference?
Climate change is a hot topic, and not just because the planet is warming! We see the disastrous impact of excess greenhouse gases from the extremes of wildfires, hurricanes, droughts, floods, heat waves and habitat loss in the USA and around the world. It can seem overwhelming, and many of us may feel helpless. But our Jewish tradition asks us to take action, individually and together as a community, to ensure a sustainable planet. What can we do now to make a difference?
In this 2-part event for Beth Am members and friends, Rabbi Jon Prosnit and Cantor Kay Greenwald will set the tone, then we will:
- Identify many ways you can personally address Climate Change through everyday practices that are easy and accessible.
- Explore opportunities to advocate for meaningful changes in policy and laws to slow down climate change and mitigate its impact.
- Organize as a Beth Am community for ongoing actions and support to address climate change together.
Advance registration for EACH zoom session is required.
