You are invited to take part in creating an art installation to commemorate the victims of the October 7 terrorist attack on Israel. The installation will feature fields of red clay kalaniot (the Hebrew word for anemones), echoing the red bloom typical to Israel's southern region during the winter. The project will convey a message of solidarity with Israel and help with fundraising efforts to support the survivors of the attack and the displaced residents of the South.
During these workshops, participants will glaze the clay anemones to be displayed in the spring at the Oshman Family JCC in Palo Alto, the Addison Penzak JCC in Los Gatos, among other places.
No prior experience is needed. Cost: $15 to cover expenses, paid in cash at the beginning of the workshop. A suggested donation of $50 to support the victims of October 7.
Specific location information will be made available upon registering. For details and registration, please contact Tzippi Zach at (650) 207-1027, tzippi_zach@yahoo.com.
