Israeli environmental activist and former member of Knesset, Prof. Alon Tal, will be speaking at the Beth Am Dayenu Circle Earth Day weekend meeting on Sunday, April 23.

Dr. Tal is currently a visiting professor at the Stanford Graduate School of Business, focusing on public policy and sustainability. His environmental activism in Israel first began in 1990 when he founded Adam Teva V’din, the Israel Union for Environmental Defense, and continued with, among other things, his founding of the Arava Institute for Environmental Studies in 1996 and co-founding of the Green Zionist Alliance in 2001.

Tal will be speaking on topics of environmental and sustainability public policy, with a particular focus on Israel, while also addressing meaningful actions that we can take individually and as a community to help drive sustainability and public policy. As a former Knesset member, Dr. Tal will also be able to answer questions on the current political situation.

This event is co-hosted by the Beth Am Jewish and Israel Advocacy Committee (JIAC).
