Naomi Zamir, a member of Beth Am and an accordion player, is offering a class to introduce sets of Klezmer tunes she learned at KlezKanada* over the past 15 years. The repertoire will include Freylakhs, Bulgars, Sirba Khusidls, Shers, Terkish, Zhok, Hora Doinas, Waltzes and Tangos.
The class is open to all instrumentalists and to anyone who wants to listen or dance to the music while we are playing. Music will be provided for most of the tunes, but only for C instruments.
We will meet in the Beit Kehillah twice each month on the 2nd and 4th Thursdays from 7:00 to 8:00 PM.
