“Everybody can be great, because anybody can serve.” — Martin Luther King, Jr.
Join hundreds of your neighbors for a virtual community-wide day of tikkun olam ("repair of the world") as part of a National Day of Service to honor the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.
This year's event will feature a range of projects addressing issues of poverty, hunger, homelessness, aging, the environment and more. Each project will be led by a non-profit organization focusing on one of these issues and doing good for our community every day. Each organization will give a short presentation about their work on Zoom and offer a hands-on project for participants to complete from the safety of their homes. Participants are expected to drop off completed projects at the OFJCC by the end of the day.
Please take a look at the projects available and sign up today to allow yourself enough time to get all necessary project materials. Visit paloaltojcc.org/mitzvahday to learn more and sign up.
Co-hosted by Congregation Beth Am.
OFJCC’s J Camp offers a raffle for $400 off any session of camp to each family who signs up for Mitzvah Day.
