Oneg Israel Presents A Virtual Tour to Israel -- Haifa: A Shared City
Saturday, June 18, 2022 • 19 Sivan 5782
7:45 PM - 9:00 PMZoomJust because you’re at home, doesn’t mean you can’t travel to Israel! Join licensed tour guide Anat Harrel on an exciting and educational virtual tour.
Let's discover Haifa, the most diverse, multicultural, mixed, shared city in Israel. Walk the neighborhoods, talk to the residents and delve into the story of this city from prehistoric to modern times. Learn how Arab Christians, Arab Muslims and Jews share the city. How did the world headquarters of the Baháʼí faith end up in Haifa, and who were the German Templers?
On our tour we will meet some of Haifa’s passionate residents: Tomer, a local guide; Kamil, Director of the Israel Antiquity Authority's Northern Region; and Na'ama, a Reform rabbi and social activist. Through their personal stories, we will gain a sense for the essence of the amazing city of Haifa.
