12:00 PM - 1:30 PMZoom VideoconferenceThis Month's Topic: The Search for Truth
At a time when the concept of truth seems more elusive than ever, understanding how philosophers have interpreted its meaning in the past may help us grapple with the struggle to find it in the present. In this session, we will explore why seeking and understanding truth has been fundamental for philosophy throughout the ages and for the human condition. We will also consider what Judaism has to say about emet (truth) and look more deeply at what it represents in our tradition. The poet E. E. Cummings wrote, "Seeker of truth / follow no path / all paths lead where / truth is here." All are invited to join us in the search.
Join in this lunchtime series that explores topics at the intersection of philosophy, Jewish thought and contemporary issues. This is an interactive lunchtime discussion. For more information, please contact Shelley Hebert.
