This Month's Topic: The Digital and the Divine

At a time when so much of our lives is online, it is becoming apparent that even 21st century religion and spirituality are significantly impacted by rapidly changing technology. Yet as a sign on El Camino says, “Google can’t satisfy every search.” Join us as we explore the evolving world of algorithms, blockchain, artificial intelligence and non-fungible tokens from a Jewish perspective. Together, we will contrast Jewish culture with digital culture, and consider whether an exponentially expanding menu of bits and bytes can, or should be expected to, nourish and sustain our souls.

Join in this lunchtime series that explores topics at the intersection of philosophy, Jewish thought and contemporary issues. This is an interactive lunchtime discussion. All are welcome. For more information, please contact Shelley Hebert.
