As voter suppression increases, including recent mass voter purges, we need to help get voting information to registered voters in voter suppression states. Over the past few weeks, Beth Am volunteers have completed 754 postcards. More must be written to inspire and motivate citizens to get out and VOTE! Help us reach 1,000 postcards written by Beth Am volunteers!
Beth Am’s own Ina Bauman has led a postcard movement involving Beth Am members, members from her temple at Lake Tahoe and others across the country that has, to date, sent over 18,000 ROV postcards to help eligible people register and vote!
On September 17 (at Beth Am) and September 18 (at Moldaw Residences), Pursue Justice is holding our last “Pinot & Postcard” parties as cards need to be completed and mailed in early October. We will write postcards, have a stamping celebration (bring your completed cards), check our voter registration (it is National Voter Registration Day) and learn about the next phase of helping people to vote — phoning with voting information.
For more information about the Pinot & Postcards party at Beth Am, please contact Nancy at ncfederman@gmail.com. For information on postcard writing at Moldaw Residences, please contact Diane at dianehrolfe@comcast.net. If you want to postcard but can’t attend a party please email Ina Bauman at inabauman@icloud.com.
Please consider joining the Pursue Justice mailing list.
