Led by Robin Stavisky

Have you ever wondered how some people are able to navigate challenging times and remain positive and resilient, especially today?

Self-compassion provides a powerful set of skills for meeting life’s challenges with wisdom and compassion. And, like putting on our own oxygen masks first, it enables us to be there for others who need us. It also empowers us to learn how to treat ourselves as we would others, which we don't always do, with kindness and understanding, instead of criticism and judgment.

Through techniques, tested and refined in hundreds of research studies and real life, self-compassion provides a compelling set of resources for relationships, work, health and life. Come participate to learn how.

Please register and pay the $36 class fee by Thursday, January 5, 3:30 PM, using the form below. Please be sure to include in the "Notes" section whether you plan to participate in person or virtually via Zoom. (Zoom access details will be sent out a few days in advance to those who opt to participate virtually.)

Robin Stavisky has been a member of Congregation Beth Am for 30 years. She has spent her career in Silicon Valley. A Stanford MBA and instructor, she has also worked pro bono in the developing world. More recently, she has focused on developing classes based on applications of mindfulness and the spirituality of aging.

*Vaccinations are required to attend in-person programming. Please bring proof of vaccination with you each time. Following Santa Clara County, masks are recommended but not required (except for our youth education programs, where indoor masking is required).
