February Tzedakah Box: Move Mountain View
Beth Am February's Tzedakah Box Supports Move Mountain View, a non-profit started in 2016 with the goal of bringing faith communities, non-profits and government agencies together to combat the effects of the growing crisis of homelessness in Mountain View and surrounding cities. Rapidly rising rents and a general lack of affordable housing in the area have exacerbated the problem since Move was started. Among other things, Move Mountain View runs Lots of Love, a program that attempts to provide respite and resources for local unsheltered families or persons, living in vehicles, with the goal of transition to more stable housing. Move Mountain View is "dedicated to alleviating the problem of homelessness and engaging the community in assisting the underprivileged among us."
