February Is Jewish Disability Awareness, Acceptance & Inclusion Month
Each February, Jewish communities throughout North America mark Jewish Disability Awareness, Acceptance and Inclusion Month (JDAAIM), highlighting our commitment to ensure equal access for all people, and the full participation of individuals with disabilities and special needs in religious and communal life. Thanks to the dedication of INCLUDE Beth Am, our congregation is making great strides toward achieving meaningful inclusion of all members. Tricks of the Trope, Taught by Cantor Jaime Shpall
Tuesday, Oct 14th 7:00p to 8:00pThe melodies we use for chanting our sacred texts is known as Trope or Cantillation. Trope are the little markings found above and below the biblical Hebrew text that readers use to chant the text properly. You can also learn to chant Torah like a pro!
