Tzedakah in Memory of a Loved One

Contributing money to tzedakah or giving one’s time to a good cause is a traditional Jewish way to mark the yahrzeit (anniversary) of the passing of a loved one. A life that inspires good deeds was truly a life well lived. The act of giving tzedakah ensures that our loved ones’ goodness continues to have an impact in the world.

If it is meaningful to you personally, you are welcome to make a voluntary donation to one of our funds in memory of your loved one.

As the High Holy Days approach, we again call your attention to our annual Book of Memory. This book is a Beth Am tradition and an accepted way of honoring relatives and friends who have died either in recent months or in past years. To submit the names of loved ones for inclusion (order deadline is Tuesday, August 31, 2021), please visit the Beth Am Book of Memory information page. For assistance, please email info@betham.org.
