Sound Your Shofar -- And Share It!
Sound Your Shofar — And Share It!
Submissions Due Friday, September 11
You are invited to participate in our Rosh Hashanah service by recording yourself sounding your shofar. The combined video will be shown as part of our Rosh Hashanah family service and we'd love to have you take part. This opportunity is available to all Beth Am members, young and old!
Here's how it works:
- Get yourself a shofar.
- Video record yourself blowing one of the blasts — T'kiyah (one medium length blast), Sh'varim (three blasts), T'ruah (nine short blasts) or Sh'varim/Truah (three blasts followed by nine short blasts). (You can practice and prepare using this Shofar blowing instructional video, thanks to Rabbi Zelig Goldman from Wilderness Torah.)
- Email videos to bethamshofar@gmail.com or upload your videos to the shared Google computer using the link bit.ly/shofar2020 by Friday, September 11. (If you choose to upload your video to the Google folder, please also send an email to bethamshofar@gmail.com with the filename, your name and which shofar blast it contains.)
- We will take your clip and add it to others to create a beautiful series of shofar blasts!
That's all there is to it. We'd love for you to take part and everyone is welcome regardless of age or experience. It'll be fun to see all of your faces during Rosh Hashanah!
