Beth Am Women EHP Tzedek Opportunity
Beth Am Women Tzedek Opportunity: EHP Holiday Gift Drive
Beth Am Women is promoting an opportunity for our community to brighten the lives of families in need during the winter holidays this year. Ecumenical Hunger Program (EHP) in East Palo Alto has been providing our neighbors in need with food, clothing, furniture and holiday gifts since its founding in 1975.
This year, with the COVID-19 pandemic, EHP has had to adjust its method of distributing food and other services. Volunteers have been severely limited, the warehouse where clothing and furniture is stored and distributed now has restricted access, and food is handed out in a drive through. The number of families served has tripled as many people have lost their jobs.
We have a chance to brighten the holidays for families by collecting gift cards that can be safely distributed with food. Parents can then order gifts for their children, and teens love receiving gift cards. Sponsoring a family is still an available option.
Please check out the EHP holiday wish list. Gift cards purchased electronically can be sent to Lakesha.
To donate any of the items listed in addition to gift cards, or for more information, please contact Wendy.
Please make donations by December 10.
