Beth Am Vegan Challenge: Building Healthy Community
Sunday, November 30, 2025 • 10 Kislev 5786
4:00 PM - 5:30 PMBeit KehillahLet’s Talk Traditions!
Rooted in the three pillars of Judaism, this session will explore how plant-based choices can help build a healthy, sustainable future for ourselves and our community.
Together, we’ll reflect on meaningful holiday memories and the foods that made them special. Then we’ll look at simple, satisfying ways to modernize these beloved dishes with vegan alternatives. Bring a family recipe, a personal tradition, or a dish to share, and we’ll discuss creative ways to adapt it for healthier living-for you and the world.
We will be joined by Rabbi Nambi who will be sharing about her Ugandan Jewish traditions and holiday foods. Additionally, we will review practical tips including:
- Vegan substitutions for meat, eggs, and dairy
- Essential kitchen tools
- Product recommendations
- Spices and techniques to elevate your plant-based cooking
You’ll leave with new skills, new recipes, and more confidence in the kitchen—like a plant-based pro! Register by Thursday, November 20 using the form below. If you plan to bring a dish, please let us know what you’re preparing. If you’re not on our email list but would like to be, please indicate that when you register and we’ll add you to it.
