Does your employer have a matching gift program? You may be able to double or even triple your contributions to Beth Am! Many Bay Area companies will match charitable donations dollar-for-dollar, or even two dollars for every one you donate. Contact your company's matching gifts program manager to determine whether your donation to Beth Am is eligible to be matched. We receive thousands of dollars per year from the matching gift programs at Google and Apple, but many smaller companies have matching programs, too. Some companies have exclusions on religious usage, but Beth Am has certain vital non-religious funds and initiatives (such as Equal Start and Hunger and Homelessness) that these monies can be directed to. The best way to use corporate matching gift programs is to make your own gift (such as for dues or for Annual Campaign) to Beth Am first, then apply for matching funds from your employee program. That way, your initial portion can be directed anywhere you want, even if the second matched portion has usage exclusions.
