11:00 AM - 12:00 PM Next DayURJ Camp Newman, 4088 Porter Creek Rd, Santa Rosa, CAWe are so excited to offer families the opportunity to come together at our 6th Grade B'nei Mitzvah Family Retreat! This retreat is for all 6th graders and their families (siblings included), no matter when your child's Bar/Bat Mitzvah date is. We will open the weekend with a special Shabbat blessing at Beth Am during the Erev Shabbat service on Friday, February 24. The retreat will continue from Saturday, February 25 to Sunday, February 26 at Camp Newman! (Participants will arrive at camp at 11:00 AM on Saturday and depart with a bag lunch on Sunday.)
This overnight retreat is an incredible opportunity to connect with other families in your cohort, forge even more meaningful relationships with our clergy and educators and create lasting memories with your 6th grader. There will be learning, socializing, exploring, adventuring and, of course, plenty of eating.
Cost: $300 for a room for 2; $500 for a room for 3 or more. This cost includes housing, meals, snacks, programming and special activities.
Additional Information:
Housing will be allotted by family unit and each family will have access to a private bathroom. The housing is camp-y, and typically bunk-bed style — just like being back at summer camp! Linens are available by request.
