Welcoming the Stranger With a Moral Budget
Sunday, October 30, 2022 • 5 Cheshvan 5783
4:00 PM - 5:30 PMZoomJoin Beth Am’s Pursue Justice and Racial Equity and Justice Committees for a Bend the Arc virtual house party. We will join with Bend the Arc members to learn about critical issues facing Americans, and how Jews can take action to protect democracy for all. Learn about Bend the Arc and its Campaigns: Bay Area work (Care First); state work (legislative campaigns); and national work (BREATHE Act, Defund Hate).
Join us as we leverage our Jewish values to envision a budget that focuses on community needs. We'll take action to influence our elected officials as they create a national budget for 2023.
Bend the Arc is the only national Jewish organization focused exclusively on progressive social change in the United States. In cities across the country, members and supporters rise up in solidarity, fight for shared liberation and build a new America. This house party will be facilitated by Flaurie S. Imberman of Bend the Arc, and Nancy Cavillones, co-chair of Pursue Justice Committee at Beth Am with support from the Beth Am Racial Equity and Justice and Pursue Justice committees.
