Jewish Film Series Presents: "Matchmaking 2"
Saturday, November 15, 2025 • 24 Cheshvan 5786
3:30 PM - 6:00 PMBeit KehillahFilm screening, 1 hour 58 minutes; Hebrew (& a bissel Yiddish) with English subtitles; followed by discussion
Last year our Beth Am audience loved the Israeli film Matchmaking. We now offer the equally funny, warm-hearted, and sweetly romantic sequel in which Baruch, a bachelor no longer young or fresh-faced but still desperately hoping to find his perfect match, jumps head first into the dizzying world of Haredi dating. Featuring Maor Schwitzer (Shtisel) as Baruch with Irit Kaplan (The Beauty Queen of Jerusalem) as Malki the no nonsense matchmaker, our yearning-for-true-love protagonist is first drawn to Shira, a stunning newcomer, but also to Ruth, played by Schwitzer’s real-life wife, actress Niv Sultan. Mishaps, twists, and laughter ensue as Baruch strives to find his beshert.
