Beth Am Awarded Three Federation Grants

Funds Will Support Programs for Diverse Cross-Section of Members

Beth Am was recently awarded three programming grants by the Jewish Community Federation of San Francisco!

  • The first grant will support young adult engagement through The Orchard program, enabling us to hire a part-time “Community Connector” staff person (see the article introducing Shiriel King Abramson) who will work with active and prospective participants in The Orchard community.

  • Our second grant comes from the Federation’s “Organizational Change for Inclusion of Jews of Color” initiative and will support our work toward racial equity and justice in our community.

  • The third grant, part of the Federation’s efforts to support family engagement, will support and expand the Chavurah program for families with children, two to five years of age – providing for some an alternative to the traditional Sunday School model.

We are thrilled to be able to continue to expand and innovate with new offerings for our members, even during these more restrictive times. Stay tuned for more communications about these three programs.
