Pursue Justice: Become Involved!

Nearly every Thursday morning for the past two years, the Beth Am Pursue Justice group has met over Zoom to discuss and plan pro-democracy actions. Our work is non-partisan, and through partnerships with the Religious Action Center and the Center for Common Ground, we focus on voting rights, both nationally and statewide.

In June, we were fortunate to have a meeting with Assemblyman Marc Berman (24th Assembly District) and his Chief of Staff, Harry Ermoian, to talk about transparency in judicial races and other election reform issues. This meeting gave us some ideas for programs and actions to present to the Beth Am community, so stay tuned for more information or sign up for our mailing list.

This summer, we completed a postcarding campaign to get out the vote in Florida and other states where voter restriction laws and unfair policies compromise access to the ballot box. Closer to home, one of the November ballot items we will pay close attention to is SCA10, a measure to amend the California Constitution to prohibit the state from denying or interfering with an individual’s reproductive freedom.

A call-to-action for you: Visit the non-partisan voter education site, Voters Edge, at and learn what will be on your ballot in the November election.
