March Tzedakah Box: Association for Civil Rights Israel
In March the Beth Am Tzedakah Box will support the Association for Civil Rights Israel (ACRI). ACRI is the oldest civil and human rights organization in Israel. Founded in 1972, ACRI is the only NGO in Israel advocating across the broad spectrum of human rights and civil liberties for everyone living in Israel and in the Palestinian Territories.
ACRI pursues change through legal and policy advocacy, education and public engagement to demand that Israel adheres to democratic principles. By working within the courts, the Knesset, government agencies and civil society, ACRI tackles Israel’s most urgent human rights injustices. Now more than ever, it is essential to support organizations who fight for democratic ideals in Israel.
