Spring/Summer Hebrew Classes for Adults
Classes Begin Tuesday, April 26 and Thursday, April 28
Whether you are a beginner or nearly fluent, we have a Hebrew class for you! Most classes will be held virtually this semester. A few sessions will be held as hybrid sessions for those who would like to attend a class or two in person. Dates of hybrid lessons TBA. The World of Midrash, Taught by Rabbi Yoel Kahn
Tuesday, May 13th 7:00p to 8:30pA midrash is “a story about a story in the Torah” (or the Tanakh [Hebrew Bible]). One of the oldest forms of Jewish commentary, midrash moves beyond the “literal” reading of any text to bring imaginative and creative interpretations.
