Repro Erev Shabbat Service
Friday, February 9, 2024 • 30 Sh'vat 5784
6:15 PM - 7:30 PMSanctuary* and LivestreamedRepro Shabbat is a celebration that honors the Jewish value of reproductive freedom. It takes place annually on Parshat Mishpatim, the reading of which contains the verses commonly referenced as the foundation of Judaism’s approach to reproductive health, rights and justice.
The service will be preceded at 5:30 PM by a Shabbat Pre-Neg in the Foyer, sponsored by the Beth Am Women and the Reproductive Justice Committee.
In collaboration with the Beth Am Reproductive Justice Committee, Beth Am teens and their parents will join National Council of Jewish Women-San Francisco (NCJW-SF) in assembling post-abortion care kits for Bay Area residents receiving abortion care. Please consider donating supplies for the teens to use in packing the kits. The goal is to pack 230 kits! LEARN MORE
The Beth Am community gathers each Friday night at 6:15 PM to welcome Shabbat. Our worship services are musical, participatory and informal in spirit; they focus on helping us experience the spiritual renewal, peace, joy and sense of celebration that Shabbat can bring.
If you attend virtually, please join the livestream starting at 6:15 PM. You may follow along in our texts for the Erev (evening) Shabbat service using the digital version (available for purchase) of the Mishkan T'filah: A Reform Siddur.
To enhance your enjoyment of Shabbat, please visit betham.org/shabbatcorner (including "Social Stories" in the Resource Box to prepare children ahead of time for what to expect during the Shabbat service).
*These services will be live video streamed. By entering the Sanctuary you give Beth Am permission to record you.
