We look forward to coming together for Kabbalat Shabbat services in our beautiful Outdoor Chapel. In July and August, as is the Beth Am tradition, the divrei Torah will be given by Beth Am members or invited guests. A list of speakers is now available:

  • August 1 - Jonathan Leff
  • August 8 - Service honoring Cantor Jaime Shpall & Family. Service followed by Tu B’Av Oneg Shabbat, sponsored by Beth Am Women and Beth Am Men.
  • August 15 - Representative of Beth Am Women Leslie Airola-Murveit will speak, and the 2025-26 Beth Am Women Board will receive a special blessing.
  • August 22 - Senator Josh Becker
  • August 28 - End of Summer Welcome Back + Labor Day Picnic with Speaker Sarah Lauing Cohen, Director of Learning and Educational Innovation

August is also Prospective Member Month at Beth Am. We invite you to share this warm, special place with the people you know and love in your lives. Stay tuned for details.

For any outdoor programming, please be sure to bring your own water bottle, sunscreen and hat, as needed.

After each service this month, gather on the Social Hall Patio for an oneg Shabbat.

The Beth Am community gathers each Friday night at 6:15 PM to welcome Shabbat. Our worship services are musical, participatory and informal in spirit; they focus on helping us experience the spiritual renewal, peace, joy and sense of celebration that Shabbat can bring.

If you attend virtually, please join the livestream starting at 6:15 PM. You may follow along in our texts for the Erev (evening) Shabbat service using the digital version (available for purchase) of the Mishkan T'filah: A Reform Siddur.

To enhance your enjoyment of Shabbat, please visit betham.org/shabbatcorner (including "Social Stories" in the Resource Box to prepare children ahead of time for what to expect during the Shabbat service).

*These services will be livestreamed. By entering the Outdoor Chapel, you give Beth Am permission to record you.
