Concert for Ukraine: Sunday Afternoon Sing-Along and Dessert Party

Attend a benefit concert for the Poltava and Odessa congregations whose members and neighbors struggle in great uncertainty with major life challenges in war-torn Ukraine. Enjoy this very special musical event while benefitting Ukraine-based congregations in need.

Musician Allan Bernstein will provide piano and lyrics for Broadway tunes and Jewish songs you'll love to sing.  Allan is an accomplished classical pianist but equally comfortable accompanying Broadway tunes and Jewish favorites you’ll love to sing. Lyrics will provided. A reception with home-baked goodies will follow. 

Cost: $25; limited to 22 registrants. Please sign up by Friday, January 12 using the form below. All proceeds from the concert will support the Beth Am Poltava and Odessa Fund (additional donations are welcome and appreciated). Please purchase tickets using the form below.

ABOUT THE ARTIST
Allan started piano at age 9 and played for the “Kosher Kats” in 8th grade and throughout high school.  Resumed classical music study in 1991 with Alla Dobrish, a Russian Émigré from Odesa, and studied with her for 32 years. Now studying with Axel Schmidt at Community School of Music and Arts in Mountain View (CSMA).

Allan does sing-alongs on a regular basis with two dinner dance groups (The “Starlighters” and “Mates and Dates”. He also has a substantial classical repertoire and has given many recitals at the CSMA over the years as well.  He has been married to Sue Bernstein for 47 years and lives in Palo Alto.
